Town Mayor Councillor Robert Browne

Robert,(Bob) arrived in Nottingham in 1984 to undertake a nursing course in intensive care, where he met his future wife in the Queen’s Medical Centre and stayed. Over 25 years ago the family moved to Stapleford were his three adult children grew up attending local schools.

First elected to the Town Council at the local elections in 2015, for the Stapleford South East Ward, Bob is a member of Stapleford Alliance. He is particularly interested in issues relating to the environment, sustainable transport, health and regeneration of local businesses.

Involved in a very intensive area of NHS at QMC; when Bob has any free time he enjoys running, walking the dog and real ale.
