The Finance & General Purposes Committee meets to discuss items relating primarily to financial aspects of the town council.

This committee meets to discuss the ongoing management of the town’s council’s Allotment sites budget allocation of Section 137 awards*, possible projects for the town, ongoing improvements to the Carnegie Centre and any other issues that may affect the financial management of the town council.

* The town council may award finance to any organisation working for the good of the town, to benefit all or most of the residents if it feels the project being undertaken is of merit.
