David was first elected to the town council in 2005, serving through two further administrations and was re-elected to the town at the local election in May 2015. He has twice served as town mayor and as chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee.

David was born in Gosport, Hampshire but has lived in Stapleford for a number of years. Well known throughout the local community, David represents Stapleford South East Ward and is a member of the Liberal Democrats Party.

His involvement with a number of organisations in and around the town is well known and includes 1st Stapleford Scouts Group, Hemlock Happening, Hemlockstone Lions, Walter Parker VC (RMLI) and St Helen’s Parish Church.
