Have your say on where £25m should be spent in Stapleford

The Council has just launched an online questionnaire to gain ideas directly from the local community as to how up to £25m is invested through the Government’s Towns Fund.

This is a ‘once in a generation’ opportunity for this level of investment in the town, so it’s vitally important all groups and organisations come together to help spread the word to the entire Stapleford community.

This is where we need your support!

Please share the link – www.broxtowe.gov.uk/staplefordtowndeal

To our dedicated town deal landing page, where respondents can access a link to the questionnaire, using your own channels to ensure the community gets to directly input to the Town Deal process for Stapleford.

Where appropriate we would also welcome any opportunities to make hard copies of the questionnaire available. If you can help with this, or have any suggestion as to the best sites for this, please don’t hesitate to get in touch so I can arrange the print, distribution and collection of these forms.

More about the questionnaire

The questionnaire will first ask a respondent to share their thoughts about what they see as a strength for Stapleford, which will help us identify important economic or cultural assets.

It will then go on to ask for suggestions for improvements to drive long term economic growth.

Suggestions should not be limited to the town centre, rather the whole of Stapleford – NO IDEA IS TOO BIG!

We are also asking that any suggestions coming forward fall within the following three fund objectives where possible:

·         Urban regeneration

·         Skills and enterprise infrastructure

·         Connectivity

The online form will close on Wednesday 12th February 2020.

Throughout the process

As the ‘Town Investment Plan’ for Stapleford develops, there will be further opportunities to feedback on the ideas and the delivery plan, setting out how, when and where the projects will be implemented.
